Barbie has ... cellulite

There is a Revolution in the world of toys.
Beauty standards represented by Barbie are now revised.   Dot Pigeon is an artist, and graphic designer based in Milan, created a not so flawless image of the famous doll. "Enough with the false perfection," he says.
Barbie, the toy - symbol of ideal beauty, however in Pigeon's  version, Barbie has the familiar blond hair tied back ponytail, wearing a swimsuit, but there is a detail in the thighs and buttocks, cellulite is ... and this makes it more human, with plenty of imperfections.
In fact, for some years, Mattel's  brand,  of the most famous doll in the world made great strides to break away from the stereotypical figure of a thin blonde woman,  with a "tiny waist".

The Barbie with cellulitis of Dot Pigeon is currently only a graphic design, but, when published in his Instagram profile, became viral.
It is not the first time that the beauty standards of Barbie, are being revised.

Lammily, the doll created by Nickolay Lamm in 2014, was designed based on the proportions of a normal 19 year old, curvy and medium stature.
On March 8, 2018,  Women's Day celebration, and Barbie's 60 year anniversary  from the sale of the first doll,  Mattel announced new models of Barbie. 
Specifically, 17 new models of Barbie will pay tribute to women who have written and continue to write history: among others, Frida Kahlo, painter, Katherine Johnson, scientist of Nasa, Yuan Yuan Tan, Ballerina Ballet San Francisco and Sara Gama , leader of women's football team Juventus and the Italian national women's football team.
